Answer: It is free for both users and eateries.
Question: Why and how is it free?
Answer: This site was created as much to help myself find good food as it was to help others, in order to get as many eateries as possible listing themselves on the site it needs to be free.
Question: Are you working on any new features?
Answer: I sure am. I will let you know more details when I have finished development.
Question: What is a eatery?
Answer: Anywhere you can purchase meals, it could be a restaurant, cafe, takeaway bar or fast food outlet.
Question: How frequently is information updated?
Answer: Eateries are responsible for updating their information themselves, they can do so whenever they like and as often as they like for free. If a eatery does not update its information regulary enough they risk having their listing suspended.
Question: I just submitted a review, why does it say it "Review text pending review"?
Answer: All reviews must be approved before their text is visible to the public. Reviews must not contain swearing or offensive text.
Question: If I sign up for an account will you spam me with all kinds of promotions?
Answer: We will not contact you unless you want to be contacted.
Question: I have found something wrong with your site, do you want to know?
Answer: We sure do, send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org or use the contact us page and let us know.
Question: Can I make annonymous reviews?
Answer: No. To make a review you must be logged in. This is designed to prevent abuse.
Question: I won a competition but they will not honour my voucher, what can I do?
Answer: Let us know via email@example.com and we will contact them. If they refuse to honour it we may suspend their listing.
Question: How can I help to spread the word about feedme?
Answer: Either just give them a link to the site or we have a page with links and documents you can use here.
Question: How many eateries are listed on feedme?
Answer: - There are 416 Eateries registered with feedme.co.nz.
Question: I just registered my eatery but I can not find it when I search for it?
Answer: All listings are checked by one of the admin team before they are displayed to the public.
Question: How often can I update the information?
Answer: You can update the information as often as you like. If you do not update it regulary enough and key details become outdated then your listing may be suspended until they are corrected.
Question: Is it possible to get an easier to remember address for my listing?
Answer: Yes, this is something that will be available as part of the standard listing soon. But in the meantime send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will set one up for you. The Address will be like www.feedme.co.nz/Canterbury/YourEatery
Question: Can I get an address like www.yourEatery.co.nz and point it at my listing?
Answer: Yes you can. For more information please email us at email@example.com
Question: I dont like zoomin.co.nz, can I use a different map?
Answer: No, at the moment the only maps we support are from zoomin. This allows us to map all eateries on one map.
Question: My eatery has features that arent respresented on this site, can you add them?
Answer: Send us an email and we will think about it. They must be something that users would want and that is not exclusive to your eatery.
Question: My eatery is part of a chain, is the chain represented somehow?
Answer: Let us know via email, all eateries in the chain will have a link to the other members.
Question: Are users on the main site and users on the admin site the same?
Answer: No, they are completely seperate. This has been done intentionally.
Question: Can I have more than one contact person associated with the eatery?
Answer: No, not at this stage sorry.
Question: Can I have more than one eatery associated with my user?
Answer: No, not at this stage sorry.
Question: Can I use pictures other than .JPG's ?
Answer: No, not at this stage sorry. You can convert any image to a JPEG in most image manipulation software. (e.g. Microsoft Paint)
Question: Someone has modified information on my listing, no one else knows my password; whats going on?
Answer: If one of our admins notice an obvious problem with your listing they may fix it, this could include typo's, missing information, incorrect information.
Question: My eatery does not have a email address, can we get a firstname.lastname@example.org address?
Answer: You sure can, Use the form on the Contact page and we will set one up for you.
